WHAT IS AN ALLOGRAFT? An allograft is human bone that has been donated by another human being to help others. The anonymous donor who made this decision to donate to others at the time of his or her death was a person who was carefully screened for medical and social history before this donation took place. Their family and physician were interviewed. All donors are tested for viral diseases, including hepatitis, HIV (AIDS), HTLV-1, HCV and syphilis. Central Florida Tissue Bank will be glad to provide you with further information or answer any questions you may have. |
